Nightmares of the wet kind

Posted by admin on 30th November 2009

What a time I’ve had recently it all began with a problem with my tap leaking well anyway I sought to find a local plumber in the local phone directory – who would start within a week no luck there Anyhow I resolved to do a search on google for Manchester Plumber. Hit gold with that one there they where on-line .Anyhow I filled in the contact form and inside of about 25 minutes I got a phone call to fix up an appointment .That’s what I call service. To cut a long story short they came out the very day and where rather a bit cheaper than the company who would not get to me for nearly a week.

Shortly after the original problem was concluded don’t I get a telephone call from a friend stating someone has crashed into his motorcar from behind and are denying any obligation. Not really sure how that works as they clearly rammed into his motorcar. Well hot on my success with google and the phantom plumbers don’t I get on-line and go searching for a Solicitors in Manchester for him. Merely on the off chance that his policy has some little little clause about legal costs who knows?

On a lighter note someone I know has made up one’s mind to spend some of their redundancy on buying a delivery business. Not really certain if they have done as much research as they should ahead of going for it .I have assured them that they need an Accountant in Manchester to look at the account books as these individuals recognize exactly what they are looking at. For the fee it may well save him thousands if the concern is going to close or with a bit of luck the accountant will turn around and say that it seems like a lucrative business go for it.

So all in all the last few weeks have been quite eventful around here. Looking forwards to a few dull weeks now with no leakages or telephone calls about car accidents

Reasons to Install a Water Tank through a Plumber

Posted by admin on 30th November 2009

We have all lately heard about the government’s’s attempts to promote Green living in Australia through discounts for environmentally friendly additions. These discounts specifically apply to homes owners that install Rainwater Tanks in their home.

Watertanks that are engineered to collect water from the rain helps house owners rein in their water bill and reduces the dependence on the govt. ’s water supply. A Water tank can also help folk maintain an emergency water supply for their gardens and washing in periods of drought.

The problem that many people looking to realize a profit on the rebate encounters is that the presidency requires certified plumbers to install these water tanks even before they get a sniff of the rebate. This has angered a large number of people because they believe that this is an easy task to spend a few hundred bucks in. Of course , how hard is it to install some pipes, gutters and big Water Tank?

What folks fail to realize is that there’s more to installing a Rainwater tank than they believe. It takes more than only two overalls and a pipe wrench to be a plumber. A plumber goes through stern documentation guiding principles and a large amount of training so that they can provide the best possible service to their customers. With that, we look into the main reasons as to why we should get a plumber to install a Rainwater Tank.

The 1st reason to get a plumber to install the tank is usually because it is cheaper for people to pay for a plumber. This can seem counter-intuitive but the truth is that the main reason someone’s plumbing bill skyrockets is due to the damage that is done by the homeowner himself.

A lot of householders try to tackle a plumbing project himself that result into water damage, broken pipes and lost pipe threads. As a result, the job becomes more difficult and the price double or triple, depending on the damage created.

Another reason to get a plumber is that aesthetically the work is tastier. Plumbers have strategies to hide gutters and pipes from plain view. Vile plumbing work can cause the value of your house to drop. In case you do decide to sell your home in the future, it is vital to maintain the value of the house to get full price on it.

It’s also important to hire a plumber to install Rainwater Tanks so that it can take full advantage of its capacity. Certified plumbers have been trained on the correct installation of rainwater collecting Water Tanks so that it doesn’t waste a single drop.

ultimately, it’s important to hire a plumber because of the remission. If you do things yourself and jeopardise the discount, then you will have to pay for the water tank out of your pocket. It might be cheaper to have a qualified plumber install it instead. You’ll get back the money you spent in the saving from your water bill, anyway. So, go on and call a plumber today to get a free quote. With a qualified plumber, you will be certain to have quality work done on your rainwater tank, get a rebate for all of your difficulty and scale back your water bill in the middle. I think that’s a win-win scenario in your part

10 TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEURIAL PITCH

Posted by admin on 30th November 2009

One of the hardest presentations to make is the entrepreneurial pitch. You have a great idea for a business and you want someone to give you money to make it happen. The problem is that venture capitalists, angel investors, and even rich uncles are heavily predisposed against you. Why? Because 99% of the pitches they hear sound like sure-fire prescriptions to lose money!

If you are pitching investors to give you money for a new venture, you should subscribe to the following rules:

1. Explain exactly what your business is within the first thirty seconds. Many entrepreneurs waste valuable time giving loads of data, background and other info—all the while investors are left scratching their heads thinking “What does this business actually DO?”

2. Tell your audience who your customers will be. Paint a vivid, specific picture of these people.

3. Explain why your customers going to give you there hard-earned money.

4. Explain who your competitors are. (And if you say you have no competitors, that is a certain sign you are unsophisticated and deserve no investment money!)

5. Explain why you are the ONE to make this happen.

6. Give your presentation with confidence and enthusiasm. Investors want a founder/CEO to be a chief salesperson; they want to see that you can convince the world of your dream—not just them.

7. Explain what star you can hitch a ride to. Has Best Buy or Radio Shack agreed to distribute your new product? Investors feel much more comfortable knowing you have an established player willing to distribute your wares.

8. Ask for a specific amount of money. If all you do is ask for money, then you can’t complain if an investor gives you $3.25 for a cup of Starbucks coffee.

9. Tell prospects exactly what you are going to spend the money on (hint:a trip to Maui for you and your friends will not impress)

10. Dress well, act confident, and put on the air that you don’t really need their money, but would be willing to accept it if they bring enough to the table to be a strategic partner for you. Sad but true regarding human nature, but people are much more likely to give you money if they feel you don’t really need it.

Finally, make each pitch presentation serve as a focus group for your next presentation. When one group of investors asks you a series of questions after you pitch, write down all of those questions and make sure most of them are answered in your next pitch so that the next group doesn’t have to ask them. Keep pitching and keep improving your pitch and eventually you may get funded.

Cosmetic Dentistry: Preserving That Lovely Smile

Posted by admin on 29th November 2009

Cosmetic dentistry has become quite popular over the past years. Even though most dental insurance companies still do not cover for this kind of treatment, people do not really mind taking money from their own pockets to pay for the treatment. The cost of cosmetic dentistry treatment is actually just a small price that we have to pay to preserve our lovely smile. Sometimes dentistry can cost even less than many of the so called best teeth whitening products. So if you have been worried about the discolorations in your teeth or that unhealthy looking gums, a few hundred dollars on cosmetic dentistry will not really hurt you that much.

Tooth Bleaching

Tooth bleaching is probably the most common type of some of the best teeth whitening methods. This process can either be done in-office or by a dentist or it can be done at home by the person who wants to whiten his or her teeth by using those over the counter tooth bleaching agents. However, although self treatment does work sometimes, most professionals discourage such practice because self treatment can cause some side effects like chemical burns, sensitive teeth and the likes. Chemical burns can be quite nasty and uncomfortable so if you do not like to suffer from that ugly burning sensation in your gums and tongue, forget about self treatment. Aside from the risk chemical burns, self treatment may not really yield the needed results. Uneven coloration of the teeth often happen when the tooth whitening agent is not spread evenly on the affected areas of the teeth. If you do not want to end up with badly treated teeth, you need to think twice about doing some home treatment on your teeth even if the product in question is advertised as the best teeth whitener.

On the other hand, while self treatment may sometimes cause more damage than good, in office procedures such as cosmetic dentistry definitely give better results. Why? First, the person who performs the cosmetic dentistry treatment at the dental clinic knows all about teeth thus he or she knows what type of tooth bleaching agents are best for the patient. Second, a dentist knows how to protect your gums from chemical burns and other side effects. In most cases, dentist paint light-cured protective layer on your gums and the tips of your gums between your teeth to protect them from chemical burns. The light-cured protective layer is really very effective so you can go home without having that uncomfortable burning sensation in your mouth after the procedure. However, the only catch here is that in office cosmetic dentistry procedures can cost you a lot of money compared to those over the counter tooth bleaching agents that you can use at home.

Know the Difference Between an Individual Health Insurance Plan and a Family Health Insurance Plan

Posted by admin on 28th November 2009

Individual health insurance plans and family health insurance plans, while basically the same, differ in degree of coverage as well as cost. Learn the difference between the two types of insurance products.

Individual Health Insurance Plans and Family Health Insurance Plans – Do You Know the Difference?

Trying to locate the right health insurance plan to fit your budget isn’t always the easiest thing to do especially with the growing cost of health care here in the United States. Determining what you want a health insurance plan to accomplish for you and your family and determining the needs to be covered will help you decide what health insurance plan may work best you and your family.

What are Individual Health Insurance Plans?

The first place to start our discussion is with the individual health insurance plan. An individual health insurance plan is basically what it says it is. An individual health insurance plan is a health insurance plan for one person. If you find you have no one else to insure with a health insurance policy then this will be your best option from a cost standpoint. Keep in mind however that individual health insurance plans may vary widely in affordability depending on the type of coverage you choose for yourself.

The more traditional individual health care plan is called an indemnity plan. The indemnity plan normally covers your visits to the doctor of your choosing and will cover the procedures that this doctor may prescribe for you. The cost for this indemnity plan will vary depending upon a deductible you choose for herself as well as your out-of-pocket limit. Keep in mind though that overall this type of health insurance plan is the more expensive of the individual health insurance plans but does offer you the most freedom of choice.

Individual managed care plans such as HMOs are less expensive than the indemnity plans but you need to be aware that you do give up some of the freedoms that are offered by the indemnity plan. Your freedom to choose your doctor is limited to the doctors on the HMO’s approved list and any specialists that you may need to see will have to be referred by this primary doctor. If primary yearly checkups and the occasional antibiotics describes your current health care needs, this plan may be the one for you. This plan will cover health emergencies but there may be just a few more hoops you have to jump through than with the Indemnity health care plan. Both of these health insurance plans, the indemnity plan as well as the individual managed care plan, may include dental coverage and prescription coverage at an additional cost.

What Are Family Health Insurance Plans?

As the name implies, family health insurance plans are designed for families. However since these family health insurance plans are covering more than one person, the cost of these plans will be higher. As you may already have guessed, the larger the family the larger the price tag. In addition, factors such as the ages, gender, and habits such as smoking or tobacco use in general etc. will largely determine how much this policy will cost you. As with individual health insurance plans, there are indemnity plans that are available for families. And since these indemnity plans offer the same freedoms as they do for the individual plans, these plans can be a real help when having to deal with the health care needs of multiple people.

Family health insurance can also come in the managed care variety as well and pretty much work the same way as do the individual managed care health insurance plans. The cost of the family managed care plans will be higher than that of the individual managed care plan, but will cost less than a family indemnity plan.

What Are Group Insurance Plans?

Many companies are now offering their employees group health insurance coverage. These employers may pay the bill for some of the premium. Since many of these employers now offer both types of health insurance coverage, the type of policy you choose will determine your out-of-pocket costs. Generally these group health insurance plans will cost you less than a plan you were to purchase on your own. If this type of group insurance plan is available to you at your workplace, you’ll definitely want to take advantage of it. If it is not offered at your workplace, perhaps you could suggest that your employer consider offering a group health insurance plan.

If your plan at work does not include a health insurance benefit or you are self employed or simply looking to provide health insurance coverage for yourself and your family outside the workplace environment, a great place to start your research is Blue Cross Blue Shield (www dot BCBS dot com) or Aetna (www dot aetna dot com). This is not necessarily an endorsement but is a good place to start in understanding the types of health insurance plans available out there today. These two large providers operate in most of our 50 states so your likelihood of learning about the types of health insurance plans available in your state from different insurers is high.

As always, seek the advice of a professional financial planner before deciding on a course of action that you do not fully understand.

Posted by admin on 27th November 2009

Adsense is indisputably one of the best ways to start making money online! Read this article and you will understand why your content sites can really benefit from the program.

Webmasters who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so. When you are on a mission to start start earning money try to give yourself a fair chance by using the advertising programs that are proven to work…

Also webmasters are less concerned by the lack of information search engines are providing and are more focused in making cash from these search engines. Never forget to experiement with programs like project payday and send earnings

Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, this will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

How to Select a Bike

Posted by admin on 27th November 2009

Other than spending a small fortune on a hybrid car or electric car, commuting by bicycle is probably the best way to save gas and improve the environment. When selecting your next (or first) bicycle, it’s important to understand the different bike types. By following these tips you’ll get a better understanding of the different categories..

Road bikes, also known as touring or racing bikes, are generally built for speed and riding on smooth surfaces like blacktop. Because of this they often sport very narrow tires, drop handlebars (to put the rider in the most aerodynamic position), and multiple speeds (12-24 gear positions is common). Racing bikes follow the same basic layout, but with a very lightweight frame. Although road bikes and racers can be used for commuting, most riders opt for comfort rather than speed.

Mountain bikes are built less for speed and more for durability and control. These bikes have much larger tires, raised handlebars that put the rider in a more upright position, and are generally (but not always) heavier. Since mountain bikes are intended to be used on trails and steep inclines, the gear ratios are generally lower than that of road bikes. Some mountain bikes have up to 36 gears, advanced suspension systems to handle bumpy and rough trails, and it is now common to find disc brakes on one or both wheels. These bikes are just fine for commuting, especially if part of that commute is over uneven or gravel or dirt roads.

Hybrid bikes try to combine the best of road and mountain bikes, and are intended to handle most commuting situations. These bikes have larger/narrower than mountain bikes, fork and seat shock absorbers for the occasional bumpy road, comfy handlebars and saddles, and often come with pre-fitted fenders and luggage racks for bicycle saddle bags. Some hybrids have gearing similar to road bikes, while others limit the number of gears to a minimum (5-7 speeds) or have the gears “sealed” in the rear hub (3-5 speeds). Hybrids are usually the best choice for most commuting situations, and are a great selection for casual riders.

Many other specialized types exist, from single speed cruisers to very specialized off-road “rock riders” and BMX racers. However, most cyclists will do alright to start from the list above. Use this guide as a starting point, try out a few models of each type to see what’s good for you, and then start riding. You won’t regret it.

Tissa Godavitarne

Posted by admin on 27th November 2009

Because I receive so many inquires about who is Tissa Godavitarne that I decided to write a little post about him.

I first heard of Tissa through the Wealthy affiliate forum in the recommended products section. This is a paid private forum which I have been a member for about three years and have trusted the other members recommendations and advise. The member who was presenting Tissa’s Affiliatize program was only a month or two old in doing online business but had made a good start with Tissa’s program and was clearing over a $1000 in profit already.

I did some more digging on the product and found that one can enter the program with little money, just enough for hosting your web page. The landing page explains a lot about Tissa and why he is looking for affiliates to promote his business. But it seems too good to be real and I think this is the main reason why people are asking who is this Tissa Godavitarne?

Tissa is for real and has been here for some time! He genuinely wants to help upstarts to acquire a business and is not promising anything more then a modest income, no get rich quick and become a millionaire in a month type program. Yes there are a lot of people who are doing business with Tissa Godavitarne in his Affiliatize program because it does work and the market is wide open for more.

Is Tissa Godavitarne just another scam artist tricking people into a worthless plan that cost a lot of money and time? No! He is the real deal for those of us that are willing to work and have patience growing our business into a profitable experience. The only people that seem to call Tissa’s program a scam are those that know nothing about it or have done little in promoting the product. I am not saying that this program is for everybody, it isn’t but if you are willing to work and see it through then it will most likely be a good investment of your time and money.

When you look around the internet and find all these different marketing business that say they have the best program for you to join. It is refreshing to find someone like Tissa Godavitarne in his down to earth type approach being honest and straight forward with a good product to promote.

Google

Posted by admin on 27th November 2009

Google, Google, Google that is all you ever seem to see on the Internet these days and there is a reason why. It has the largest directory of just about any and every site that can be found. Try it, go to a Google search engine and see if there is something you cannot find! That is a tongue twister, sorry. (wink)

Google homepage UK is the search engine I use for everything. Forget about Yahoo! You have to pay for stuff with them while Google offers nearly everything for free. Want to build your own web site and don’t have any money? Google will give it to you for free. You may not have noticed it yet, but if you look in the upper right corner of your Google homepage depending on your computer settings, it will say “iGoogle” and “sign in”. It won’t give one way backlinks though, but that’s pretty much the only limitation.

If you do not have an account, after clicking sign in you can register for a new account and then up where you signed in, click the “my account” button. From there you can set your profile up and at the bottom you should see a list of stuff to try. Want your own blogger account, get it there. Get webmaster tool, analytics, Gmail, sites, Picasa web photo album etc…

It basically has everything you could possibly need to either build your own web site, get in touch with other people with Talk (Google instant messenger) and even have online meetings with Google Docs… again it is all for free. I am a full on Googleholic! I get my news updates from CNN, weather alerts, Einstein quote of the day, Bible verse of the day, Things to ponder, current moon phases, a clock (lol) and Google translator. C’mon, I even get to customize the theme on my homepage. Right now I am using the “rainforest theme”.

Besides Google being the top search engine on any web browser, it also makes making money on the internet easy. Sign up for Google Adsense. From everything thing that I have tried Adsense actually pays and then they give you suggestions on how to make your web site better and get more traffic which translates to more money. They offer so much that it is hard to turn away.

Now personally, Google if you are reading this sorry, I am loyal but there are some things I think could be better. Like Gmail. I don’t really like Gmail and the instant messenger is weak because you can’t use a webcam. Other than that it is definitely the best search engine in the world and I don’t think I am exaggerating.

Before I switched to using iGoogle my internet use pretty much consisted of checking my mail and I don’t remember what I use to use as my search engine but I do know that my internet use has increased and I have even become my own webmaster and I did it all for free, well… accept for the stuff I would bump into that I found on the web that I couldn’t resist. Let’s face it… I think Google even put a tracker in my head because I think they know me better than I know myself. This is why Google is so successful.
